OUR AI PHILOSOPHY

AI is here to stay. This has become clear over the last few years, and there is no denying that there will be a wind of change sweeping through our industry. But that does not necessarily have to be a bad thing!

As a future-oriented company, we have a keen interest in all developments in that area, and rather than adopting a wary and skeptical attitude toward AI, we prefer to find ways to use it for our own ends—as a friend and ally, not as an enemy and a threat.

We use AI to support our internal processes and, where explicitly agreed with the client, also in certain projects (but never without explicit consent!). Our main focus is the interaction between human and artificial intelligence: no AI output is left unreviewed! And so we create and optimize prompts, review content and translation output for accuracy and completeness, and rate GenAI output; in short: we let ourselves be inspired and amazed by AI without ever losing our focus on human quality.

AI AND TECHNOLOGY

We have set up our own AI environment, which we not only use in our everyday activities at the office but also in order to continuously train—individually and in teams—how to work with AI. The utilized language models are general models accessed via a chat interface, which is hosted in our own virtual data center. An internal login managed by our administrators guarantees the necessary access restriction. Moreover, we work only with providers who guarantee that our texts will not be used to train other AI systems. And of course, all servers are hosted in the EU and all data processed there, which makes sure we can stay GDPR-compliant at all times.

AI AND PEOPLE

Our current AI approach is mainly learning by doing as well as using online offers, attending webinars, etc. We are consistently improving our internal AI skills with the help of our own AI environment while all the time gradually finding new and diverse ways to use it. Our people work on AI-related solutions individually and in small working groups, practice working with AI, and regularly compare notes. In doing so, new roles and activity emphases are already forming on the horizon. We will continue to shape and expand those in the future.

AI AND OUR FUTURE

For 2025 we are planning to extend our range of offers, not just (still) positioning ourselves as a linguistic partner but also as a provider of AI-related services. Stay tuned for more information.

Our AI Team

AI Supervisor
Stephan Lang

He knows what each individual client wants and needs, and he knows how AI figures in all of that—if that is what the client wants—and what the status quo is.

AI Engineer
Walter Bogner

He does not tolerate any insubordination and will bring even the most obstreperous AI system to heel.

AI Engineer
Adriano Cutello

He administrates, maintains, and updates our AI environment and keeps everything in order there.

Prompt Master
Sergei Kovalev

Seeing as he is someone who always finds the right words to say (even to the AI system!), putting him in charge of prompt engineering and prompt inventorying was a no-brainer.

AI Knowledge Master
Judith Schenkewitz

She is pulling all the strings, AI-wise.

Global AI Project Manager
Rashmi Kreuzer

If you are looking to include AI in your existing projects or would like to order any new AI-related services directly, don’t hesitate to contact her.

Evaluation Expert

The AI system may produce linguistically sound output most of the time, but it takes real attention to detail to catch those times when it does not – and there is no such thing as „too picky“ in that regard. And „linguistically sound output“ doesn’t automatically equate „good texts,“ anyway.

Subject Matter Expert

Fact-checking AI output is a dirty job sometimes. But somebody’s gotta do it. After all, some AI hallucinations are well-disguised as the truth!
